Toddlerhood is such an exciting time. Days are filled with growing independence, exploration and communication. Joni's Child Care & Pre-School centers encourage the natural development of toddlers. Classrooms are arranged to allow for small group (2-4 children), large group (up to 8 children) or individual play. Activities are selected by the children and designed by teachers to stimulate development. Children explore their senses through water and sand play, cooking activities and music. Cognitive skills are encouraged through review of colors, shapes and numbers, sorting, stories and conversation. Art, through paint, glue, markers and textures is combined with music and dance to encourage creativity and motor development. Children enjoy outdoor time every morning and afternoon.

Parents receive a daily note detailing the activities of the day, particular enjoyments and upcoming activities. Families are encouraged to join the children in any activities and share their own talents. Parents are invited to participate in Parent-Teacher conferences twice each year or more frequently as desired.
